Easy Remote Management

Well-built, fast technology and heavy duty!

What does the RFID stand for and what advantages does it conduct?

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is the use of electromagnetic fields to automatically identify, and track tags attached to objects. Tags do not need to be within the line of sight of the reader, unlike bar codes, so they can be embedded in the tracked object.

Manufacturing industries and warehousing rely upon high powered technology and durable equipment, which come at a cost. However, Zebra’s RFD90 (an enhancement of the RFD40) eliminates these problems with the RFD9090 having a read range of 22.8m. The ultra-accurate item-finder mode helps workers locate critical items quickly and easily. And with a 7,000 mAh battery, RFD90 Sleds keep going hour after hour.

Why is the Ultra-Rugged Design unique to others?

Built with industrial grade sealing (IP65/67) they are highly resistant to liquids and dust making them ideal for use in the harshest of conditions. They maintain full functionality between temperatures of -20C & 55C making them ideal for manufacturing industries and are resistant to damage when dropped from heights of up to 1.8 metres, onto concrete

Built for Workers

Built for both comfort and efficiency they have a tri-function trigger, pressing:

  1. Top Trigger – Activates the barcode scanner
  2. Bottom Trigger – Activates the RFID scanner
  3. Both Triggers – Performs a user programmable function

The RFD90 has a 7000mAh battery which means it can function for long periods without having to be recharged. However, when required, this can be done quickly without having to remove the battery. It has also been ergonomically designed for maximum user comfort.

Easy Remote Management

The RFD90 has Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, allowing it to be remotely managed whilst staying connected to deploy firmware updates or push configuration updates for new feature support. It also supports 123RFID which can be  used to remotely configure sleds via a communication cradle.

Adaptable Connectivity Options

The RFD90 is compatible with either Zebra or 3rd party mobile computers when using an eConnex adapter, meaning no matter how much you need to change or upgrade your mobile computers. The sled has a number of wireless connectivity options which includes Wi-Fi 6 functionality and Bluetooth 5.3, which is easy to pair with either NFC tap-to-pair, pair-by-camera, or scan-to-connect.

Industry-Leading Solution

An industry leader it should come as no surprise that the RFD90 is capable of scanning over 1300 RFID tags per second. It also incorporates an ultra-accurate item finder mode which will ensure that your assets and inventories are always kept safe. With over 115 regulatory certifications you can be sure that the RFD90 will support both your industry and your business.

Conclusion

Both the RFD9030 & RFD9090 are rugged and powerful with the capability to provide solutions for many industries, so for further details do not hesitate to get in touch.
