Similar to stability balls but they are shaped like a peanut to provide support and stability during labour and delivery. Here’s how these peanut balls can be helpful during pregnancy.

Comfort and relaxation: Sitting on a peanut ball can help relieve pressure on the lower back, pelvis, and hips, which can be significantly helpful during the later stages of pregnancy while also providing comfort which is helpful as discomfort is common during the later stages.

Labour Progress: Peanut balls are often used in labour to encourage the progression of birth. It can help open the pelvis to promote the descent of the baby and encourage contractions to become more effective when the pregnant women are in a side laying position with her legs straddling the peanut ball

Pelvic Alignment: If a woman is experiencing back pain or if the baby is in a less-then-ideal position for delivery, using a peanut ball can help align the pelvis.

Labor Positions: Peanut balls can help make labour more comfortable and encourage the baby’s decent by being used in various labour positions including sitting, squatting and kneeling.
